Tempo Payments Inc is closing their doors due to the Durbin amendment. The company has already let go 60% of their employees. The company indicated the remainder of their employees will be laid off shortly. Tempo Payments appears to be solely in the debit card arena. It will be interesting to see how these changes affect merchant account providers in the coming months.
